WhatsApp e-Statement delivery
Direct delivery of statement PDFs to customers’ WhatsApp inboxes — replacing the physical mail pipeline end to end.
BrainCrop built Soneri Bank’s WhatsApp e-Statement delivery channel — replacing physical mail-outs across the customer base, cutting paper, and saving millions in monthly operating costs. Production is run jointly with Soneri’s IT operations team; BrainCrop maintains and evolves the system through UAT and Dev.
Soneri Bank’s customer base was receiving physical mailed statements every month — a process that consumed paper, postage, fulfillment hours, and operational overhead at scale. Customers were also receiving statements days after the bank generated them, creating service friction and customer support load.
The goal: move statement delivery off paper and onto a channel customers already used every day — WhatsApp — without compromising security, audit-readiness, or the customer’s privacy.
BrainCrop designed and built a WhatsApp-based e-Statement delivery channel in close collaboration with Soneri Bank’s team — enrollment and preference management, encrypted statement attachments, integration with the bank’s statement generation systems, and operating-cost reporting. We continue to maintain and enhance the system after launch.
Production operations are run jointly: Soneri’s IT operations team owns and controls the production environment. BrainCrop has access to push updates, diagnose issues, and ship new features through scheduled releases — with continuous development happening on the UAT and Dev environments. Customers are enrolled by default through the bank’s account terms and conditions, with opt-out available at any time.
