The BrainCrop Brand Book.

The source of truth for every BrainCrop-branded touchpoint — what we stand for, how we look, how we sound, and how we apply ourselves consistently. Built to be lived in, not filed away.

01 · Foundation

What BrainCrop is, and isn’t.

BrainCrop is a Pakistan-rooted software services firm that designs, builds, integrates, and operates production systems for banks, schools, retailers, and enterprises. The foundation below sets the constants — what every BrainCrop touchpoint should reinforce.

Mission

Build banking-grade software, AI-first, in production, for the long run. We exist to ship systems that go live and stay live — at scale, under regulator scrutiny, for years.

Positioning

BrainCrop is the team behind production-grade banking channels, education platforms, ecommerce stacks, and enterprise operations across six countries. We’re known for systems that don’t break under load, don’t fail audits, and don’t go dark when something goes wrong.

Banking-grade software. AI-first delivery.

The anchor phrase appears on the homepage hero, in the email signature, on the back of the business card, and as the closer of investor decks. It is the single most important line in BrainCrop’s vocabulary.

What we believe

01

Production-first

Demos don’t matter. Live systems do. Every claim we make is backed by something running in production today.

02

Banking-grade by default

Even for non-banking clients, we apply the standards we developed for banks: auditability, security, reliability, joint operations.

03

Joint operations

For regulated clients, we never bypass IT. The client owns production; we maintain and ship updates through UAT and Dev.

04

Honest scope

Numbers are explicit before contracts sign. Milestones are negotiated upfront. No open-ended T&M without a defined exit.

05

AI-first delivery

We use AI throughout the delivery cycle to ship faster without cutting corners on architecture, security, or testing discipline.

06

Long horizons

The Faysal channel has run for five years. We measure ourselves in years of production, not months of build.

Who we’re for

  • Banks and financial institutions shipping customer-facing channels, onboarding, and digital products at scale
  • Educational institutes running multi-school operations on hybrid on-prem and cloud platforms
  • Retail and ecommerce businesses needing custom ecommerce, payments, and multi-channel operations
  • Enterprises running complex operations across ERPs, internal tools, and AI-assisted workflows
  • Agency partners needing a white-label dev team for WordPress, ecommerce, and custom site work
02 · Voice & tone

How BrainCrop sounds.

BrainCrop writes the way it ships software — specific, confident, and free of fluff. The voice is one of a senior engineer who’s run production for years and is now explaining the work to a peer.

Six voice characteristics

  • Confident, not boastful. “We built and operate Faysal’s WhatsApp channel for ~2M users.” Not: “industry-leading conversational AI.”
  • Plain English over jargon. “Customer’s IT team owns production.” Not: “shared service ownership paradigm.”
  • Specific over vague. “Live for 5 years at 184k+ monthly active users.” Not: “enterprise-scale.”
  • Comma-rich, not bullet-rich. Long-form prose explains nuance. Bullets are for actual lists.
  • Honest about trade-offs. “Big-bang rebuilds fail; we default to phased migration.” Trust grows from frankness.
  • Pakistan-proud, globally credible. We name where we’re from. We also name where we deliver.

Tone modulation

The base voice stays constant; tone moves slightly with context:

  • Marketing pages. Confident, warm, slightly emotive. “Tell us what you need to build.”
  • Case studies. Factual, sequential, light on adjectives. Numbers do the work.
  • Proposals and contracts. Precise, neutral, no hedging. Each clause is testable.
  • Customer support replies. Direct, action-oriented, no apology theater.
  • Investor communications. Composed, milestone-anchored, frank about risks.
03 · Logo

The BrainCrop mark.

The primary mark is the wordmark “BrainCrop” set in Geist with a custom kerning. It works on light surfaces, dark surfaces, and the brand orange — but never on a busy background or a photo without proper treatment.

What not to do

  • Don’t stretch, skew, or distort the proportions
  • Don’t change the color outside of approved palette (white, dark, brand orange)
  • Don’t add drop shadows, outlines, or effects
  • Don’t place on busy photography without a contrast plate
  • Don’t recreate the wordmark in another typeface
  • Don’t combine with another logo or symbol without lockup approval
04 · Color

Color palette.

The palette is deliberately restrained. One primary brand color, a deep neutral for text, a small set of greys for hierarchy, and supporting accents. Color is used for emphasis — not decoration.

Color rules

  • One brand color, not many. Brand orange is the only accent that drives attention. Use it for primary CTAs, eyebrows, key links, and the anchor border on the founding statement — and nowhere else.
  • Contrast is non-negotiable. Body text on white meets WCAG AA at minimum (4.5:1). On brand orange, use white at the maximum size for any text element.
  • Don’t tint photographs with brand orange. If a photo needs treatment, desaturate or lay a dark overlay — never tint to brand color.
  • Reserved status colors (success green, error red) follow the existing component palette in styles.css. Don’t introduce ad-hoc reds or greens.
05 · Typography

Typography.

One typeface across the system: Geist, by Vercel. Geist gives us a modern grotesk with excellent legibility at small sizes and confident presence at display sizes. We use five weights and never substitute the typeface.

What we deliver

Type rules

  • One typeface. Geist for everything — display, body, monospace fallback for code only.
  • Tight letter-spacing at display. H1 / H2 / H3 use -1% to -2.5% tracking. Body and below: default.
  • Generous line height for body. Body sits at 1.6, small text at 1.5, display tighter at 1.05–1.3.
  • Sentence case for body and headings. Title Case is reserved for proper nouns. UPPERCASE is reserved for eyebrows and tiny labels.
  • Em dash, not hyphen. Connect clauses with em dash (—), not double-hyphen or en dash.
06 · Spacing & layout

Spacing & layout.

A consistent 8px-based spacing scale, container widths capped at 1200px, and section padding that adapts down on mobile. Rhythm comes from the system — never from ad-hoc margins.

07 · Iconography

Iconography.

All icons are outlined SVG, drawn on a 24×24 grid with a 1.8 stroke width, rounded line caps, and rounded line joins. The system is consistent so icons feel like they belong to the same family — even when they’re picked from different sources.

09 · Voice in practice

How we write, in practice.

Paired examples below show what we do and what we avoid. The differences are small at the line level but compound across a page.

Describing what we built

● Do

BrainCrop built and operates Faysal Bank’s WhatsApp Banking channel — AI-powered conversational support, live-agent handoff, 5 years in production at ~2M users.

Specific. Names the client, the system, the scale, and the runtime. Easy to verify.

● Don’t

BrainCrop is a leading provider of innovative conversational AI solutions for the banking sector at enterprise scale.

Vague. “Leading,” “innovative,” “enterprise scale” mean nothing the reader can test.

Describing the joint-ops model

● Do

Production is run jointly. Your IT team owns and controls the production environment. BrainCrop has access to push updates, diagnose issues, and ship new features through UAT and Dev — in close coordination with your team.

Honest about the division of responsibility. Builds trust with bank IT leadership.

● Don’t

We fully manage the production environment end-to-end, providing 24/7 white-glove operations on your behalf.

Overpromises. Banking IT teams know this is rarely how it actually works — and the claim damages credibility.

Describing capabilities

● Do

NADRA-backed identity, biometric KYC, document OCR, risk scoring, and audit dashboards — built for regulated buyers.

A specific list of nouns that buyers in this space recognize.

● Don’t

Cutting-edge, AI-powered identity solutions leveraging next-generation technology stacks.

Buzzword salad. Says nothing about what the actual capability does.

Inviting the conversation

● Do

Tell us what you need to build, integrate, or operate. Read by the team within 24 hours. No drip sequences, no bots.

Direct. Sets honest expectations. Names what we won’t do (drip campaigns).

● Don’t

Contact our world-class team of solution experts today to begin your digital transformation journey.

Marketing-speak. No specific commitment, no honest signal of what happens next.

10 · Applications

The brand in the wild.

One more thing.

A brand book is a living document. When something needs to change — a new product line, a new capability, a tone we hadn’t anticipated — we update this document, not the other way around.

Questions about how to apply the brand somewhere this document doesn’t cover? Email the design studio at design@braincrop.io. We’d rather answer once and update the book than have ten interpretations of the same rule.
